San Jose del Cabo Restaurant Week 2019
The final quarter of the year in Los Cabos is packed with special events of all kinds. One festive event worth noting is San Jose del Cabo Restaurant Week, a culinary celebration dedicated to highlighting the region’s extensive and excellent gastronomy.
Each participating restaurant during the festival, scheduled for October 19 – 26, will offer a 3-course menu for only $800 MXN (approximately $42 USD). No fewer than 41 restaurants, many of them situated within the charming precincts of the colonial city, have confirmed their participation. Many of the establishments feature live music.
Dining spots of every style and description have created special menus for the second edition of this eagerly anticipated event.
Among the participants is Acre, which serves top-notch cocktails and global cuisine inspired by local ingredients at its trendy, open-air location outside the city. Traditional Argentine food? Head to Chamuyo in San Jose’s historic colonial center. Opt for reliable mainstays like Jazmin’s or Tequila Restaurant, savor the superb gourmet fare at Don Sanchez, or sample Mediterranean cuisine by way of southern California at San Jose House 23400, where many of the dishes are prepared in a wood-burning oven. Foodies will be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants specializing in Mexican and Latin American cuisine, but there are a few outliers participating too, like French Riviera, a quaint bistro in downtown San Jose that’s been serving traditional crepes and distinctively French dishes for 18 years.
